Happy Birthday!

Emery Angeline Love Strong was born at 10:08am on Friday, July 8 (15 months after big sis, Ellie, to the day) and weighed in at 8lb 3oz (which is quite bigger than her big sis was). All is well. Better photos to come; perhaps "100 days of Emery!"

It may come as no surprise that one of the features that attracted me to C when we first met was her unruly mane of hair, so thick and curly--her locks were the embodiment of her strength, passion, and independence as dreadlocks are to the Rastafarian "soul rebel."
